There are 3 steps to
manage msds in the workplace effectively:
- treatment
- rehabilitation
- prevention
Our occupational physiotherapy service is tailored to meet the
client’s needs. We can provide anything from 3 hours a week
to a full time service. The service is generally provided on-site
but if necessary, arrangements can be made for an off-site service.
We are able to provide a treatment service as well as a variety
of preventative initiatives – again this depends on what suits
the client. The treatment service is provided by a chartered physiotherapist
with experience in the management of msds.
We provide our own equipment – all we need is space: a lockable
room that is large enough for 2 people. Often we use the first aid
room.
Our service is of the high standard that is expected from professionals.
All logistic and administrative details are finalised in writing
before commencement of a service in a service level agreement.
Benefits of Occupational Physiotherapy:
- Long waits for treatment are avoided - early diagnosis and treatment
means less suffering and a better prognosis.
- Earlier return to work in many cases.
- An early, structured return to work helps prevent ongoing problems.
- Liaison with management and other health professionals allows
more efficient management of employees with msds.
- Focus on prevention of recurrence and self management
- No need to travel off-site for treatment saves work time.
- Employees feel valued and see the service as a worthwhile benefit.
